The mixture and juxtaposition of antiques and vintage pieces synonymous with the Guinevere name has always been a lifelong passion for Marc and Heather Weaver.
Marc began dealing almost straight from school, while Heather joined after working as a buyer at Harrods. Their perspectives differ but complement one another.
“We approach the acquisition of pieces with a slightly different eye,” says Marc. “Heather has a strong instinct for colour and interiors, while my approach is more from an antique dealer’s perspective. But we both focus on beauty and form.”
With more than seventy five years of combined experience, they range confidently across disciplines and eras.
“We are not limited to a particular style or period,” Marc adds. “As my mother famously said, if it was ugly one hundred years ago, it will always be ugly.”
When Guinevere Antiques closed in 2025, Marc and Heather chose to continue its spirit with the launch of Guinevere London in Chelsea Harbour. Encouraged by loyal clients and driven by instinct, they felt the story was not yet finished.
“We are not concerned with trends or what others are doing,” says Heather. “If you buy from the heart, sometimes others follow.”
Every piece is chosen first for its visual merit, then for its quality, history and value. The principles remain simple: buy what you love, have the courage of your convictions, and when you see something exceptional, secure it. Antiques are unique. Once they are gone, they rarely return.
Guinevere London continues that philosophy today.
